There is currently an OMI HOn3 brass model of C&S coach 70 listed on eBay:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/126443043520?_trkparms=amclksrc%3DITM%26aid%3D777008%26algo%3DPERSONAL.TOPIC%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20240131095853%26meid%3Df8a94d118bb14eaea6dcbe320bf9b0d8%26pid%3D101949%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D1%26itm%3D126443043520%26pmt%3D0%26noa%3D1%26pg%3D4375194%26algv%3DRecentlyViewedItemsV2Mobile%26brand%3DOverland%2BModels&_trksid=p4375194.c101949.m162918&_trkparms=parentrq%3A11a69b3618f0a8cc3c1a39abffff2d0a%7Cpageci%3A8f9d7412-0273-11ef-b721-f679cec970a6%7Ciid%3A1%7Cvlpname%3Avlp_homepage Listing price of $350 is a bit overboard, but no interest yet and offers can be made. In general, brass models don't seem to be commanding the prices they did a year ago, likely a reflection of the current economy.

Should any of you On3 C&S folks need a caboose, an Overland #1000 listed on eBay today:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/256583136398?itmmeta=01J3PXJVWBWBBY69WZ9A9PG4Y8&hash=item3bbd8bf48e:g:1PYAAOSwF3Rmou6b&itmprp=enc%3AAQAJAAAA0HrZCfYYLuT7zipnguSvZ6xgGrfhuAQ7Vt9UXWMsXepjy2Yv8Fswth8mXpfAQvg9KfYOy0qFuHJPottSYtEIC2GUz7WPTiBTgPybsQRAHpX4huE0vbJlMkO44cfzO5dDdmlcABOLiVX742nRsvUKZ%2BDdr49NHPwCaKLyAb61M%2B%2BJIraWvXdKPxP1OU3%2B9TmkqT3PuqQK6hmdmY3sdXKZvHZ0yJS0CQ%2Bv2GPk4KWi05ju0ebQlKDMhlaqEAKmT%2FoGrDvsgXk1XkBUM03LxGIbDQE%3D%7Ctkp%3ABk9SR6i-y92dZA Pretty reasonable starting bid. I don't think the clothes line and bedding are included . . . at least my Sn3 version of 1000 didn't have them.

Should any of you On3 C&S folks need a butterfly plow for one of you locomotives, an assembled pilot/plow just listed this morning on eBay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/326206430374?_trkparms=amclksrc%3DITM%26aid%3D777008%26algo%3DPERSONAL.TOPIC%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D270964%26meid%3D335b7506f7cf46e4bfba5ed65eb6c896%26pid%3D101949%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D1%26itm%3D326206430374%26pmt%3D0%26noa%3D1%26pg%3D4375194%26algv%3DRecentlyViewedItemsV2WithMLRV6RankerPricelessTop30Features%26brand%3DPSC&_trksid=p4375194.c101949.m162918&_trkparms=parentrq%3A1f1344701910ab38464cac53ffff7b8c%7Cpageci%3Af42ef3ce-529f-11ef-ae85-befe87d76a72%7Ciid%3A1%7Cvlpname%3Avlp_homepage
The add suggests that the plow has been assembled from PSC parts, but every thing about it in the photos sure looks to be an Overland plow to me.

Yes, Jim. That is definitely an OMI plow. This one is the 36" version, which was made for the B-4-E 2-8-0's. There is another plow which may come up today which is the 42" version, made for the Moguls. And others, as it turns out. It was measured from #60.

Thanks to Jim's info I was able to buy caboose 1002. Thank you all for providing info on models and the prototype. What a great forum!

Wow! Both C&S 60 and caboose 1002 look great!
Did you paint them yourself?

Hi Jim, No I got both of them like this. I want to paint Doug's #72 and will show progress on that engine. First, however, I will have to decide on the most suitable DCC system (SoundTraxx or ESU). I'm intrigued by the Bluenami decoder. Any experience with sound in this group?
Best, Christian |
These three Sn3 cars are a part of Overland's unsold inventory that were custom painted, hoping to get them sold. The fact that these guys are painted with window glazing is a big help. Accessing the interior of the OMI passenger cars for painting and window glazing requires some major surgery on the subfloor of the unpainted Sn3 brass cars, I'm still trying to get mine painted.
The model of C&S RPO 13 is pretty hard to find these days.

Hi Christian,
My friend and neighbor Dusty installed a Blunami decoder in his Fn3 D&RGW C-21. He used the higher amperage rated unit for large scale, but their offerings for smaller scales operate the same way. The Soundtraxx Tsunami system has excellent sound effects and lighting features and is very popular in the industry. The BlueRail Trains Blunami app has versions for both Android and Apple platforms and has a very easy to use controller interface. It's a very good standalone program that makes it easy to run DCC without a system-dedicated throttle and command station - in fact even the Lego train folks use it for show displays. I installed the app on my Android phone and was controlling his locomotive in about three minutes. I've used Tsunami decoders for years and their products and support are excellent. Ive also had very good results with Loksound and TCS Wowsound decoders as well. We could start a new thread or feel free to private message me if you have any further questions. Cheers, Norm
