I posted part 1, 2, 3, 4, & 5 of this series that attempts to chronicle the history of the restoration of the C&Sng's Georgetown Loop.
In Part 6, the final pieces of the Georgetown Loop's High Bridge/Devil's Gate Viaduct come together and a number of ceremonies take place to honor it, including the biggest celebration on Colorado Day, 1984. The day has a mishap, but eventually comes together as an enormous celebration of a lost cause that instead became a railroad resurrected back to life.
