Keith,
I wonder if you could organize the dormers and roof brackets to be printed in HO. I am building the depot in HO for the local club layout, not as good as yours and using available windows and doors from Tichy. The main structure is from Monster modelworks brickwork which is assembled and ready to tackle the roof. Paul R.

Paul, I can try, but the fine parts may not render in the smaller scale.

Keith ,
Thanks for trying, I could alter tichy windows to fit if that would make it easier. Paul R.

Re: Leadville Depot

Paul, the roof brackets and dormers are posted for sale on my Shapeways site. You will need to add some shingles around the windows: I suggest the peel-n-stick shingles under the Vintage Reproductions label by CC Crow.

Please post a photo of your completed model.

Re: Leadville Depot

Thanks for buying parts, Paul. I keep getting messages that the small dormer has an error,  yet when I try to fix the problem,  it just seems to make it worse. What are you seeing on your end?

Looking good, Paul.

I received notice that the parts printed,  so you should receive them in a few days. I hope the roof brackets match your roof pitch.

Re: Leadville Depot

I wish I had more brick buildings, but aside from the Lime Kiln at Silica, the only brick building in the areas I’m modelling is the brick outhouse at Marshall Pass.

A funny little thing it is, too:

Re: Leadville Depot

Hi Jim,

It's a lovely building (and a favourite of Muriel's), but it's actually wood.  You can see it better from this angle:

Cheers,
Jeff.

Well "Monster Brick" looks like brick, but is actually wood -- so what's the problem?

Paul, did the parts show up yet? Did they print okay?

In totally different news, Jake Johnson posted a link to a Shapeways site with a HOn3 model of D&RGW Gunnison parlor car, and, better yet A Baggage-mail 10-11 and a 911. The model builder is linen. I am going to see if he is willing to scale it up.

In the mean time, Jeff, you have some nice models available.
