Fire At The Georgetown Loop.

Chris Walker
Hall Tunnel burns, un-dated photo but after the abandonment of the C&S in Mar 1939 and more likely in the 1960's or '70's given the shape of the truck.  I have done a limited search of Colorado Newspapers but turned up nothing under Fire(s), Hall Tunnel Fire, Hall Tunnel Burns etc.  Maybe someone else will have better luck.

There is a second image similar to the above https://digital.denverlibrary.org/digital/collection/p15330coll22/id/3329

The Hall Tunnel buildings from another angle, seen in better days...

I seem to recall two or three really bad years with fire up there. 70's, and one in the 80's, after we had done a lot of work on the RR.
