My application is off-topic, but I am hoping the commonality of parts
will find some good advice here .... I am wanting to build some electrical stuff in a way that incorporates "units" ... switches and lights, etc. that employ spade connectors for ease of removing parts of the system for repair or maintenance. The lights are tiny diode lights, set in special mountings. I need to mount these to a backer board of some sort, with terminal connectors on the back. I have a similar deal with the switches. Everything is made up of parts, with soldered connections within each component. The question I have is, where do I find generic terminal blocks/strips that incorporate male (or female) spade connections that I can build into my components to allow an easy push-on/pull-off of connecting wires to allow easy changeout of parts ? Been all over Amazon and eBay, and while spade connectors are sold all day long for crimp or solder connections, I am finding none that might attach with a tiny machine screw and nut (or other option I have not thought of yet ?) to attach the spade connectors firmly to a backer board that I would attach the lights to the front of. I am open to building my own this way, or perhaps such things are already made and sold ? I just don't know what to call them and by extension, where to look. Do any of you deal with similar problems when wiring up your layouts and fixtures ?

South Park,
This site might give you some ideas (they are in the UK...): https://www.toby.co.uk/pcb-hardware/spade-screw-terminals/ Maybe you can find similar things at Mouser Electronics: https://www.mouser.com/Connectors/Terminals/_/N-5g5u?P=1z0yxti&Keyword=terminal&FS=True Or try car parts stores ;o): https://www.autozone.com/electrical-and-lighting/terminal-tap?filterByKeyWord=terminal&fromString=search&isIgnoreVehicle=false&newYmme=true https://www.oreillyauto.com/detail/b/standard-ignition-5753/lighting---electrical-16777/wire-terminals-19379/9cb14a7a30f3/standard-ignition-wire-terminal-clip/st68/5823204?q=terminal&pos=182 Good luck Alex |

What?
You talking about these? ![]() Yes? Stan |

Thanks for the feedback, gents. The UK link is exactly what I
am thinking of for parts to build my own components. Looks like the 2nd link is good too, but the UK site is designed for easier understanding of each product. Stan, your idea is close, but would require redesigning the terminal block to interface with the face board. This item would be clunky, as shown. I did a job for an electronics outfit building 40' lithium batteries out of CONEX's a few years ago. They built all sorts of crazy control panels like what I am trying to do. Dropped by today to ask questions, but those slackers were all gone for holiday, so I will go back on Wednesday. They may have the parts on hand, or local sourcing ideas ?

Another option: see page 284 (it starts on page 279) of this: https://www.mouser.ie/datasheet/2/418/NG_CS_1307819_SECTION_6_7AND8_0808-1234617.pdf

I guess you caught me slacking on this .... considerable progress has
been made since my last post. I met up with the battery guys and got some solid direction on where to source materials. I will take some photos and post them soon. I have built my dash-mounted light board, drilled and set the lights, and built a contact/distro board for all the connections to be made on. I am waiting on a 6v electronic flasher/blinker for LED's to complete that operations "module". From there, I need to solder this unit's connections together, rebuild the light sockets in the old lamps for the rear, install the parts, and begin building the wire harness between the various pieces.
