Now that you mention it, my iron is stored below Kokomo.


I am getting faster at cutting and fitting boards, but it is still a slow process. We are up above the cab now. I find the battens go quickly, and need to stain more material.
Keen eyes will notice that I am using a lighter stain as I inch towards the top. I figured these lower boards would be in the snow longer and thus stay wet. The upper boards would be in the sun and bleach out in the UV. The B&B gang has visited and replaced some boards and battens.

Saturday found me in Greeley at the RPM. I took a couple of models, which were among only a handful of narrow gauge models.


I was surprised to see multiple Utah Belt and Virginian & Ohio models. Interesting both at how influential these modelers were in our hobby, and also at how effective they were at creating a plausible proto-freelance railroad image.
