There was a privy next to the Leadville turntable. Jim conveniently posted the standard drawings and I set to making a model while waiting for paint to dry.
![]() This is not a detailed model--no interior for you smarty pants out there ![]() ![]() I see I need to add a fascia board, then on to paint. Would this structure be painted?

Check the Bill of Materials on the Standard Plans; it tells you how many gallons of lead paint to buy, unfortunately not the color! ![]()

Looking at other drawings they just say lead paint.
I have a drawing for a pole mounted phone booth and it says "Painted per CB&Q standard" Looking at a CB&Q closet drawing they say to use Indian red and bronze green paint. I would use the same red and green you use for depots. Ken Martin |

Looks nice.
That man seems to be waiting for the lead paint to show up. |

Thanks for the reminders, Chris. I need to make a not to search the Forum before building a model. I built my WC off the plans, and the real one had vertical siding. Oh well.
![]() ![]() Anyway, the backdrop helps this scene too, with the WC in the foreground and the tool shed and ex-Tiffany refer in the back (with some forced perspective).

To revive an older thread, here's a board and batten version in Buffalo, still there as of earlier this year. I need several of these for South Platte, so I'm going to try to 3d print them. I've since removed the door batten and am trying to figure out vertical board grooves for the door. If I get that figured out I'll probably remove the battens and try to do the vertically sided version as well. We'll see if I get ambitious enough to try for an interior and partly open door. :)

I recently bought Rust-o-leum "Painters Choice" Flat Red primer in a USA made spraycan, for my latest car, and once dry in the sunshine, it looked a lot like the C&S freightcar colour; made me tingle and want to put on a Block monogram.
What say you feller's up there? Close, or no guitar.

Thanks Mike, Actually I was asking if the paint colour was a match, rather than recommending it. I have no comparison of both in the same time and space continuum, and I've a lousy colour judgement process.

I'll still look for it and let you know what I think. For whatever that's worth. Ace Hardware may have it. They carry all of the Rustoleum Camouflage colors.

Hmmm, that would lead me up the garden path a little too far, but.... I'm leaning to an earlier era, in the same locality, with something a little more appropriate for the car type. ![]() ![]()

I found the Rustolium Red Primer at our local Ace Hardware and I thought it looks pretty good too. I'd prefer just a hair more red, but it pretty much fits right in. Reminds me of old Floquil Boxcar Red. Here is a picture of the cap with some rolling stock, see what you think.
