Anyone Coming to the Sn3 Symposium in Seattle, April 15-18?

Jim Courtney
I was wondering if anyone is coming to the Sn3 Symposium in Seattle (actually Bellevue) in April.

It may be the last chance to visit the late Paul Scoles's fabulous layout--his widow has kindly agreed to open the layout to visitors.

The Symposium is organized by the same folks who sponsored the Narrow Gauge Convention in Seattle in 2013.  There are some great layouts to visit, unfortunately not much in the way of DSP&P/C&S.  But a lot of the layouts are S scale, narrow gauge and standard.  Most Sn3 manufactures will also be present.

All the details are at http://www.sn3symposium-2015.com/

Would love to be there but probably not going to make it.
Was last there in 1998 IIRC and got the chance to operate the Silverado Mixed on Paul's incredible railroad.
I really enjoy the smaller size of the Sn3 Symposiums.
I'm sure it will be a great gathering for all who attend.

I will look for you there, Keith.  Since I'm a local, I will likely take the ferry over every day.

During the afternoon "self guided" tours, if you have a rental car, try to take the ferry over to the west side of the Sound one afternoon, three great layouts to visit:  Westside Lumber Co in On3 at Winslow on Bainbridge Island (Ken Larsen), RGS in Sn3 near Port Orchard (Dale Kreutzer) and another great RGS layout in Sn3 in Shelton (Bill Busacca).  We narrow gauge modelers in Kitsap County are sometimes overlooked, as we are a bit out-of the-way.

Missed Bill's layout in 2012. Sadly! The other two were fabulous! My favorite was Dale's RGS layout altho Ken's magnificent trees were hard to beat. Wish I could go to the Symposium this year but I didn't do enough installs last year - the priority being Tacos and Bullets (and not necessarily in that order...)

Jim, we had the pleasure of visiting many of these layouts during the Narrow Gauge convention a couple years ago. I am looking forward to working a turn on Dave Woodrell's layout: he and I were boomers on a Santa Fe layout last year in Dallas, an experience I think we both are still recovering from.
