RIP Ron Keiser

Mike Trent
Administrator
Sad to report that Ron Keiser has passed at 84, on 9/25/26.

Details are scarce, but he was apparently found at home during a welfare check.

I had the pleasure of knowing Ron for a very long time, and was proud to call him a friend.

Many of you might remember Ron from the Georgetown Loop, and as a long time Conductor on the D&S.

He was a great modeler, and was very involved with the O Scale club in the basement of Union Station. He was known Nationwide for his California Zephyr.

This fine picture from Bill Lund, shows Ron just as he would have wanted to be remembered.

Ron was also a member of the Denver Garden Railway Club. I had met him at our club layout at the Colorado Railroad Museum in Golden several times. A really interesting fellow to talk to, he will be missed.
Ron had a really nice model railroad layout in the basement of his house. Try a search for " Cascade and Silverton "on YouTube. It is listed under " etz40" postings on YouTube. Copying the link to share on here doesn't seem to work properly.

Mike,
your Email is bouncing back to me. It could be a Gmail issue though.
