Quarries at Nathrop

Ethan Stone, whose handle on the NGDF is Colorado 76 was looking at  Google maps of the DSP&P when he found evidence of the DSP&P and D&RG  quarry spurs north of Nathrop.He has questions about  when they were built and when they were removed.   [e-mail]

In Klinger's South Park's Gunnison Division book on page 116, there is a small map of the trackage at Nathrop dated April 1885.  The map shows the 2 quarry spurs coming off the D&RG railroad.  The quarry is on the west side of the Arkansas River.
