Off Topic Again : Lachlan McLean : Then & Now.

The Cornucopia capture by Lachlan.
Note the Adit exit trestle is built right over the Flume for the Jackson Mill.  This is on Chicago Creek, just South of Idaho.

542 CO-103 Idaho Springs.  I'd like to go poke around in their backyard.

An inspiring "small mine" scene begging replication.

Chris, the shape of the rock catches my eye--it is long and flat, more slate-like, not roundish, like the stuff I get from woodland scenics.

I also have my eye on the two wagons and the house/ office.

Long ago MR and RMC articles usually hinted at pouring plaster(of Paris), letting it set, washing with desired colour(differing colour/tones for additional batches), placing said lumps into a sack/cloth bag and munting them with a hammer to produce scaleable scree, talus, and waste rock.

This technique alleviated the use of rounded gravels derived from river run aggregates.

Just don't ask what issues eh!
