New Mason Bogie?

Over on the NG Discussion Forum there is some talk of a Mason Bogie replica being built in the near future.Does anybody know anything about this project?

I didn't see anything about it being in the "near future." Just that there are plans to do it.

I know what the Tornado cost and how long it took.

How much for a Bogie, a lot smaller and a lot slower - $2m?

Getting off the subject a little bit I wonder what a Bogie cost in 1879 and how long it took to build one.

I do not remember reading how much the Bogies cost but somewhere in the region of $5,000would be my thought.

Begs the question to what extent a Bogie was assembled and to what extent manufactured. Here someone would be starting pretty much from scratch.

Well they were it seems bespoke but there would be many parts and processes available or easily modifiable from other projects.
