The gentleman standing on the grade crossing--did he turn 90 degrees during the exposure, or does he have a conjoined twin??

No Jim, he's wearing bib-overalls over a jacket and the man behind is train crew, see the double buttons on a heavy jacket sleeve.

At first I thought this was a photo of the last passenger leaving Como for Denver. It is muddy and cloudy like others photos. I also drew this inference by all the folks sweeping to the right, possibly watching the train departing to the east.

But if you look at the switch stand target to the right, you will see a locomotive and tender heading to the wye. The tender looks to be one of 71-73.

And then there is the wayward, jauntily spotted on the lead of the east yard going to Leadville.

Here's a full crop of that area. It's pretty grainy, but the number on the cab looks like a "6" or an "8". The space between the trucks looks too much for a B-3-C, so I assume it's a 60-something (B-4-D or B-4-E) with the second digit blocked by the switchstand target.

Last train to Leadville: 9-4-37.  #60 off at Como, replaced by #9 + Flanger, #73 shuffling around as well.  Untold photos taken there that day.

The closest I can find in CRA12 is the top photo on page 226. It has the Auburn 8-98 cabriolet and the caboose in the same spots, but also has a train approaching the depot (probably #60 pulling the inbound train from Denver), which this shot doesn't, and is taken from a different angle. Is this shot there, too, and I just missed it?

Here is the pic I was thinking of. Different car on the left. Same US Route sign, but at a different angle. Switchstands aligned the same, but no waycar, and no freight train in the yard.

Yes Todd, I goofed again.  "A similar view is in the CRRA#12(and Mal's C&Sng).  I think I was too focused on the old car remembrance.

I just have way too many images stored in my head.
