Nathrop bridge

Hi guys,
This afternoon I had to look at a project in nearby Nathrop. Along the way I got this shot of the former bridge site and thought I'd share it with the group.

Matt's photo shows the north abutment up on the hill and the first pier. Last time I was there the other pier and south abutment still had a house built across them. This is from September 2009:


I think Matt was probably on or near the D&RGW bridge that's in the background of my photo to take his. The pier and abutment in his photo are out of the frame to the left of the house in my photo.

Yes, the house is still on the south abutment. A few years ago, I worked with the guy who owns that house. He told me he was going to tear it down and re-build, but has not yet done so.
