It is not C&S but it is live narrow-gauge steam at the Colorado Railroad Museum this morning!

Number 346 is an honorary C&S locomotive due to her lease to the C&S in its last years. She hauled freight from Denver to Como to Leadville and return many a time.

Hmmmm . . . perhaps the folks at Como could negotiate with the CRRM a loan of 346, and install a Ridgeway stack.

CRRM has put a Ridgeway stack on 346 a number of times at the museum, though it would be quite stunning to see it sport that beartrap in Como!

#346 was the only Grande n.g. 2-8-0 with a full steel cab, courtesy of the C&S .....

Not to mention, a "half-flange" on the tires of the two otherwise "blind" drivers. It appears the Museum replaced the domes that the C&S shops installed after the Kenosha wreck . . .

What I heard was that the C&S didn't replace the flanges on the domes. One time when Richardson was in Durango he found some flanges and bought them and then put them on 346.
