Does anyone know what Valley Spur was used for? It was just upgrade from Midway Tank and was 287 feet long. One story in Historic Alpine Tunnel mentions a crew that left a few loads there so it would be easy to make the hill up to the tunnel. Maybe this was its only use? Did it serve any other purpose?
