Hi everyone!

Andy in Texas
Well I am back in On3-On30 with the Colorado Central!!!! I left On3 about 7 years ago because there seemed to be no one doing Colorado Central here in Texas. I now have a partially finished HOn3 layout set in 1900.

Leadville Shops kits brought me back! I will have one of their kits soon and can't wait! My plans now are to make a switching layout under my HOn3 Idaho Springs yard. My layout is in a 15 x 15 room.

1870s here we come!!! Rick Steele, you got me interested in On3 back in Cheyenne--
More on my switching layout later----

Andy

Welcome aboard.

As a Texan, you are probably already aware that much of the former CC (excluding Denver) and C&S up to the Continental Divide (and Boulder) was once part of the old Republic.

To any naysayers out there, all I have to say about that is "Yeeeee Haaaw!"

Ain't history great? I've had a lot of great reactions from Texans when I claim to be a Native of the "Old Republic".

Viva Texas! Only one of two States that were former Republics of themselves.

What was the other one?

California was more of an idea than an actual "Nation". I'm talking about Vermont.

Well... we were talking about Republics. But the Kingdom of Hawaii is an example of another Sovereign Nation becoming a State.

Ah... an expert with certifications...

(I fail to see how THAT makes a bunch of rag tags who declared themselves a Republic for 3 1/2 week a viable Sovereignty - but that's just me!)
