Since the early 70's, I was a huge fan of the old Prairie Home
Companion radio show. For decades, it was a wonderful "escape"
to an old school humor and outlook on life. Then Garrison Kiellor
took the show in a then-current political direction and the show
did a death spiral. One bright spot that came out in the end days
was a skit, based on autocorrect. The premise being they would
run classic theatre scripts through autocorrect and then performing
the play. The results were very funny !
But it points up the base line issue that this is funny because
this digital BS is familiar and frustrating to all of us. Am I the only
one who wonders what the digital generations will look back on as
the foundational good things their lives were about ?
