Denver South Park Stock or Cattle Car Color

Gonna have to repaint a stock or cattle (not sure what other livestock was transported) car in Denver South Park and Pacific colors. The one photo of a model I have seen shows red..

There is also one “plan” on that page, by the same source/author, that references Oxide Red:

However, when I use AI, it states the cars were most likely white, or perhaps yellow, based on interpretation of black and white photos:

Anyone here have any thoughts?

I would scrap the AI and follow John Maxwell notes. his drawings have stood the test of time.

Thanks!  I presume John Maxwell is the “J.W.M.” initials in the drawing title block?

BTW, I wasn’t putting too much weight in the AI. Just curious where it came up with those colors. Besides photos, thought maybe I was overlooking something.

I think I've seen pictures of one painted white, but I'd go with red oxide.

Red with white lettering is the only fit for Nathrop.

Does anyone know the “official” name for these cars?  I can’t find anything in Poore’s book under:

Cattle
Livestock
Stock

No distinction on what livestock carried, nor number of decks.
