How many commercial C&S paintings did Jan Rons do and what were they. I have two of his prints that are C&S and are my favorites with the exception of D&RGW #340 on the Ouray TT.
I have 2 Jan Rons prints. A large matted print of C&S #60 crossing the Georgetown Loop in a snow storm with a short freight and a second engine ahead of a bobber caboose. I think the second engine in the print is #58, its hard to tell with the detail you can see in the print. It is # 399/1000 and is signed by Jan Rons. The copyright date is 1979.
I have a smaller framed print showing C&S #9 with a snowplow and freight passing under the Georgetown Loop heading toward Silver Plume. The print is signed and copyright 1985. On the back of the matte it has hand printed in pencil the following:
John Coker has also done some nice C&S work over the years. In 1979, I commissioned a painting from a well known photograph of #74 and #76 at Solitude returning to Leadville with a clean-up train in the Summer of 1937.
Recently I purchased a print of his #75 "Leaving Leadville" from his website, and also have a print of #9 with a passenger train at Como.
There are some other C&S prints available as well on his website. cokerart.com
Hopefully, Jan will chime in, he may have prints available, or know where they may be available.
A third artist did a work with the C&S #60 in snow. Look for "High Lines Fine Art Inc" on Facebook and scroll down to RR work, it's in there. I know the artist. ;) Jim Pallow
Hi from AZ
Mike urged me to chime in. I did a little checking. And by my reckoning, I painted 20 or more C&S/South Park watercolors since 1977. I found these images in my files. After 41 years as a full time artist, I have semi-retired and moved to Prescott AZ. I still like to develop ideas and paint from time to time. I also enjoy catching up on modeling projects. Thanks for the interest.
Thanks, Jan. Are any of these currently available in print form? They are beautiful. All of them.

Thanks for getting Jan to post on the list about his painting. I have the C&S 60 on the Georgetown Loop and the #71 on the North Fork of the South Fork River. I do now recall the two paintings of the #65's however there was one print Jan sold of a winter scene on Boras Pass with the engineer and fireman leaning out of the cab; this was a unique scene. Would like to know if Jan does still have prints of the 2-6-0 at Breckenridge available.
