Back to work - finally!

After a year of waiting my brother Bob and I finally got together for a work session at my home in Northridge, CA. last week to continue our rebuild of C&S 1008. Although we weren’t together for a year plus we both kept working in our home shops. Bob’s focus was on the interior furniture and restoring one of the curved door frames while I made some progress on the spring rigging.
We hope to get to mounting the wheel sets at our next session.

Here is the result of the ratchet and pawl castings we had made using originals provided by Jeff Taylor and the Colorado Railroad Museum.
