Any updates on 1008?

Tim Schreiner
I haven’t seen anything lately on the restoration of caboose 1008 lately. Anyone have any new photos, or info?

I've been wondering the same thing- hasn't been anything on their FB page either.

Thanks for your continued interest and support.
Please see brother Bob’s post on the Narrow Gauge Discussion Forum.
With the unusually hot weather here in Southern California time outside has been limited.
A good deal of time has been spent aligning the pedestals with the axles using shims. If the alignment isn’t square the journal boxes will bind when installed and as the car moves down the track.
This view under the car shows the mounted pedestals and spring assembly. The wheel sets are sitting on tack under the car. The journals have been turned and polished and in the photo are covered with a rubber sheet held in place by a couple of large hose clamps.
