When they were doing it I was not sure what would come out, does show how the ground levels were changed. My suspicion is that in the early days they basically followed the contours and when the upper and lower yards were built leveled out by moving dirt for the west side to the east side. They must have move hundred if not thousands of yards to extend the Roundhouse. Always wondered what the trackage looked like in 1879. The spur to the mines had been built but what else?
