...and yet, somehow, few pictures. And none of our happy tribe!

Their is a thread on the MRH Forum with photos of the convention:

Sadly, no C&S anywhere . . .

This was my first national convention; I was surprised by the number of vendors, and would guesstimate the total number of attendees at ~200+. I wasn't very diligent on picture taking, aside from the one truly amazing layout on the layout tours (the one featured in this month's Model Railroader) and details of a stub switch remote linkage on the Alpine tunnel module that Charles Proudfoot brought as part of the HO modular narrow gauge (Mudhens for short) layout. There was a talk on restoring Como by Robert Schoppe, and there were a number of C&S models in the vendor area. I also attended Randy Hees talk on paints, which was very interesting.
I did have a chance to talk with Bill Meredith of Leadville Designs, as well as Doug Junda of Leadville Shops. Also had a long chat with Keith Stamper, who is an occasional visitor here in the forum.
The contest area was somewhat disappointing, as some categories had only one or two entries--the annual photos in the Gazette led me to believe there was likely quite a bit more competition.
That's the two minute summary; here are the photos, with apologies for how few there are:

Palouse in O scale

Spokane in O scale--night view

Spokane layout--mirror

Alpine Engine House stub switch actuator.

Thank you all for the update. Great quality modeling!
I‘m keeping my fingers crossed to go to Denver next year.
