Re: 1902 coal car lettering details

Jim and Ron,  Thank you for your replies, I just never associated that picture with as being under UP control, I'm not that cognizant of dates like others are and defer to your greater knowledge.
Also I kind of got away from the C&S for the past 20 years regressing to my Mining Tramway roots, building fullsize "models" and probably would still be none the wiser had it not been for Darel setting up the Blog and this Forum.
All in all, I have learned a great deal from here in the short time of existance, now I just have to get to grips with being able to remember it all.

I think I posted on this subject before,so if he replied I don't remember  it.Why don't you contact Michael York.He has Litchfield trucks and DSP&P bobber undercarriage available  under an OR&L heading on Shapeways.Check out his South Park Line blog for photos of some of his DSP&P/CC/OR&L projects. He has hand built some of his own trucks.I think if you  could talk him in to it he could help you.

Ron,

The On3 Litchfield trucks with outside brake hangers that Robert was describing on Shapeways can be seen here: <a href="http://www.shapeways.com/product/3Q3ZHAL74/on3-dsp-p-type-quot-a-quot-litchfield-trucks-2-pair?li=user-profile&optionId=42624499</a>

They look intriguing, wish he would print them in Sn3.  The Leadville Shops has Sn3 Litchfield trucks as brass kits, but my soldering skills haven't quite progressed that far yet.  I still have 3 pair of their "type B" trucks to assemble, once I've practiced with my new drill press to drill out the axle holes.

Please post some photos of your models, if they illustrate any topic discussed here.

Jim
