Nice looking model.
At the end you talk about doing some as bunk cars then show a picture of 070. Avoid the trap I was in for a long time thinking that 070 was 27'. Car 070 was made from 7251 which is a 24' car.
I finally built a model of 070 in HOn3 using a Clear Creek 24' styrene kit. Here is a photo on the Sacramento club.
