I dunno, Jeff.

I was thinking a lunch counter or bar set up between the tree trunks, open in the middle for the wait staff.

Perhaps to cater to large groups. Or maybe to set up kegs of beer for non-Sunday excursionists!

Did you notice windows and parts of the mill building across clear creek, peeking thru the trees in the last photo??
