Nice going on the compromise but......

...have you noticed that the Bridgegang has added extra Stringers to support the Ties (just below the Guardtimbers) while rock fill is shoveled (dumped) over the side?

I was shown a techinque by a Mining modeller a few years ago of how he used a paper funnel that adjoined a drinking straw to deliver his fill material in a prototypical vertical way on his Mine Wastedump Trestles,  he deposited a dryish plaster then misted on the detergent-soaked adhesive to set it all in place, you may want to experiment: your choice.
