Thanks Grumpy for help with identifying the location of the photo.

For reference, here is a partial USGS map from 1917, showing the vantage point from where this photo was taken:



And here is about the same area as it looks this century. I saw some recent Facebook postings that seem to show that mine has partially collapsed from recent snowfalls.
