Unusual conveyance at Alpine Tunnel

Does anybody have more information about the donkey-powered car in this eBay listing? Enlarge the third image for the best detail.

What third photo? The item has been sold and I was lucky enough to enlarge the small title photo.Looks like somebody put a wagon seat on a push car. When you're talking mule power don't forget Bill McKee.

This car looks to be much lighter than the one Bill McKee used. It has larger wheels with inboard bearings, very thin rims, and wire spokes. The bed sits between the wheels and doesn't appear to extend beyond the axles. The car McKee used sits above the solid wheels with outboard bearings, and extends about a foot beyond the axles. The seat is mounted with some large leaf springs, so the ride was probably nice and cushy.
