St. Elmo boxcars-private or public property?

[Kurt Maechner]

Does anyone know if the cars are on private property or Forest Service land?
Thanks,
Kurt

The county assessor's page doesn't show ownership, but seems to show it the same as the road and other surrounding areas while specific owners are listed for the parcels in town (as well as nearby mining claims), so I assume it's public land.

Thanks, Todd!
