South Platte depot

Does anyone have dimensions for the South Platte depot?
I have a couple of photos but don't know the size.

Curious, Ken.

Neither Mac Poor's Station List, nor Rick Steele's 1894 DL&G B&B Book list a depot at South Platte.

As the South Platte depot in the first decade photos looks similar to the Dumont depot on Clear Creek, I checked Poor's listing there as well--no depot listed.

I do have a copy of a C&S standard 22 x 50 foot depot that I acquired from John Maxwell 40 years ago. The hip roof is similar to South Platte and Dumont, but not identical and the door and window arrangement also differ:

FWIW, the Colorado Central Railroad book, by Abbott, et al., states that the Dumont depot was built in 1899 (under C&S ownership) and had dimensions of 28 x 46.5 feet. Is it possible that the Dumont and South Platte depots were built about the same time to similar / same plans??

I went looking when this was first posted, somewhere along the way I got lost(for some reason), didn't see any mention of dimensions in my go to sources(that you mentioned).  The clipped Gable on the bay is unique.

Unless the Dumont Depot is a mirror plan flip, it appears to be slightly smaller, based on the chimney proportions and ridge location.

Thank you both for checking. Since I don't have dimensions I counted the battens and came up with 20' x 42'.
This should get me started.

After counting the battens I have made this drawing of the South Platte depot.
Working from photos I can't guarantee total accuracy but it's as accurate as I can make it.

I am curious as to the opinion of the people on this list.

Judging from the photos that Chris posted, you seem to have captured the proportions of the little depot well.

Ken, I think you need to drop the trim on the bay a bit--in the photo it looks like the bottom of the trim is just above the half-way point between the ridge (if extended) and the top of the window trim.

Don't know what scale you are building this in, but you may be able to take advantage of my Kokomo windows and doors.
