I discovered a video host and podcaster that does a great job sharing local Colorado stories by the name of Tommy Allen. His site (
Stories from the Midland), videos, and podcasts also cover some South Park Line content including a great video that covers the story of engineer Billy Westall. I posted his video
on my blog here along with some related content. He references Tom and Denise Klinger's C&S Platte Canyon Memories book as well.
I listened to a podcast of his related to the South Platte hotel as well as one covering danger on the Boreas Pass route. I'll try to post links to those sometime. He also has a few podcasts on stories related to the Rio Grande and Colorado Midland.
