On the valuation map, did you all notice the coal chute (running under the track!), coal storage and pump house. These caught my eye before I found the water tank.

They are not visible in the photo of the Water Board Special, but would be very interesting to model (JEFF!).

Hi Keith,

the Woodbox Culvert goes under the tracks, the chute is sloping away from the tracks.

But you are right in the fact these would make a great model.
I thought all this had been covered in Jim's original thread on this topic.

Correct as usual, Mr. Walker. I thought it odd that the coal would be routed under the track. Nonetheless, we need more wood culverts!

I wonder how long it took to figure out that the culvert termination at the coal storage was a poor choice?

If I remember correctly PBL offered a D&RG class  60 with short smokebox, diamond stack, wood cab,and flared top tender.People couldn't even spell DSP&P until LGB came out with their Cooke Mogul-with a short smokebox,Congdon stack and oil headlamp. What about plastic along the lines of David Fletcher's Masterclass only in smaller scales?A lot of the  engines Bachmann comes out with are weird stuff nobody ever saw before.
