Roper Update

As some of you know, and others have probably been wondering where Roper has been.... Roper suffered a severe poisoning episode last week when he licked up some errant horse dewormer that fell on the ground. Apparently this can be lethal to dogs, particularly to herding breeds. It attacks their neurological system, as this is the method meant to kill parasites in horses. He spent three days in emergency care and teetered on the edge of life. I am happy to report that he is home and appears to have made a complete recovery.
Thanks to all who sent their well wishes. Roper shall return to Saturdays soon!

My sympathies Darel, I know what it is like to have ones Pets poisoned, wouldn't wish that on any animal.

No wonder my Lab was so moody last week!  She must of heard about Roper's plight on the canine internet, reading her P-mail.  We all wish Roper a speedy recovery.

Thanks ya'll for your thoughts and prayers. Other than an lingering respiratory issue, Roper seems to have recovered well. He has re-assumed his alpha status with Bo the border collie and Spencer the wiener dog. So its back to normal around here. Lol!
