Rail on Trout Creek Pass

Jason Rose
Last week we drove from Buena Vista to Como and back. I was in an RV and we were way behind our schedule, so I couldn't stop to investigate (or photograph) what appeared to be some rolling stock and rails on the grade a few miles east of BV.

Google Map:  https://www.google.com/maps/@38.8409228,-106.0112291,63m/data=!3m1!1e3

I've never heard of this spot. Does anyone know the story?

Check out Replica Of McGees Depot by Kurt Maechner on this forum. This was a bed and breakfast operation complete with track and a "Mason Bogie".I met the man that owned it once back in the 90s but never saw it in operation. The RR car replicas were mainly used for sleeping quarters.
