Radium Co. Railroad or not ?

Don Gustavson II
Did the Railroad go up to the town of Radium.
I have a depot that came with the layout we got that says "Radium"

The little bit I have found about this place.

Since no-one-local will chime in on this,

Radium was a Station on the Denver & Salt Lake line, nowadays on UP's Moffat line and is some 55 miles North and West of Dillon, the nearest C&S location.

Thank you.
I may re-purpose that building then.

I also have a Depot labeled Apex.
This seems to be north/west of Black Hawk.  Just up Apex Valley Road.
Any C&S activity there ?

Great collection of buildings (although I wouldn’t fancy trying to make a realistic-looking tent).

Cheers,
Jeff.

Thanks again.
Kind of curious why the previous owner of my layout had Depots for these two locations.
I am using one as a stand in for Buena Vista now. A may end up living there permanently.

I was taken with the Portals visible, both  fake  mine style  and the two-story outhouse lower-right....

Andrew Dodge made some good tents on his DSP&P layout.

As Chris Walker noted:
Radium was a station on the Denver & Salt Lake RR (later D&RGW)
Location is east of Yarmony Colorado.
Railroad buildings included a depot and section houses.
Not much evidence remains.
I tried viewing some photos on line and there are 1 or 2 buildings near the track that might be former railroad structures.
It has been some time since I last went through Radium and I would need better views to determine that situation.

I'm thinking the "false portal" on the left side of Chris's photo could go "boom"!  It is cribbed like a dynamite shed! :) JP
