Overland #9 project

Mike McKenzie
Hey everybody,

Had a great time at the Symposium in Denver. Didn't buy much, several sets of trucks and some detail parts. Then at the final night's swap meet I just couldn't pass up an Sn3 Overland (I'm assuming) C&S #9, missing a few parts, at a good price. Always wanted one of the moguls.

It's a project but runs well. Needs a pilot (or plow), pilot truck, and headlight (I have). May leave off the beartrap and cinder tube (it came with two) so would need a stack as well. And of course a decoder (and battery), but that's the easy part...

Looking for resources for these parts, more info (photos, drawings) if I need to fabricate, or any extras that ya'll may have on hand.

Thanks,
Mike McKenzie

Hi Mike. Yikes. I've been amazed at what turns up on ebay. This is a great example of what we should all remember when we start a "project" and fail to keep the parts together. You might contact PBL to see if they might have any Sn3 parts for C&S, and you might also contact Bill Davis ("Brassmonger" on ebay) or Keith Wiseman about any stray Overland parts. Both Bill and Keith received some of the parts from Overland's projects, but I don't know what may have been left over from the Sn3 projects.

Good luck.
