More Operations!

Keith Hayes

Scott Ogle and Jim Eaman visited Leadville and ran some trains. Scott took the Grande job and spent a lot of time switching the Smelter.

Jim scored the C&S trick and was zipping up and down the length of the yard with 76.

In spite of some uncooperative turnouts, the occasional short and a low coupler, they reported having a good time.

It is fun to watch others operate Leadville and nice to see multiple locomotives moving about.

RGS 25 is in Salida for some work and ended up in Leadville.

Denver brass have long been impressed by the Uintah Malleys and finally persuaded Barber Asphalt to lend one of them for testing on the South Park.

Cool! I doubt Scott will abandon his Seattle based railroad for the Slim Gauge, but it will do him some good to escape dreary gray skies for a while. Jim's C&N is a real treat as well for anyone who hasn't seen it. These guys are serious builders!
