Leadville Depot not part of LC&S's original plan

Kurt Maechner
I found an old article about the beginning of the Leadville, Colorado & Southern, that explains that the C&S Leadville depot was not originally given in the sale of the railroad and the operators of the line had different plans for a boarding site.  I have a short post about that here.

What about laying a third rail and running something like GB&L  #40 on the LC&S ?

or they could do it like 1943 and lay both narrow gauge rails inside the standard!

They would need a loco and cars to pull off a narrow gauge third-rail.

I wish they could get sg C&S 641 up and running.

Do you actually think the LC&S makes enough to support a steam loco operation and maintenance costs?
