HOn3 Overland C&S coaches for Jeff

Jim Courtney
I noticed an HOn3 Overland C&S #74-76 at BrassTrains.com this morning, but before I could post this, it was sold!

Did you get it, Jeff?

Dang.  Sadly, that was not I.  (But I have now registered there and put a watch on it.)

Jeff.

Well, then, let's keep this tread going so I and others will now where to post something good in C&SHOn3 if we see it.

Along those lines, it's C&S, it's brass and it's made by Overland, not necessarily a passenger car:

No new Overland coaches sighted, but a couple of appealing things on eBay, if interested:

I owned one of the Key #71s years ago in my HOn3 days.  As I recall, it was a very mooth running little engine.  The Overland pilot plow in the above post would complement it ( as I recall, I used a Lee Town casting).

A nice paint job on the old PFM original tender drive engine.  I believe that Wayne Weiss has a re-motoring kit for the engine.

Jeff, let me know if these posts get annoying, otherwise, I'll keep looking

Jim, C&S stuff is never annoying. ;)

I did see the #22, but I’ve got a PSC #9 to pull my passenger.

I’m currently using C-21 #346 (with a PSC bear trap) for freight.  This is partly because I started out thinking the top-mounted air tanks looked dorky, and partly because of the RTR nature of the Blackstone offerings.

But I’m coming around to the top-mounted air tanks, and they certainly scream “C&S”.  So down the line I’d like to replace or augment the D&RGW leased engine with a B-4d or B-4e.  I like the Pyle headlights, though, so it’d probably be #68 or #73.

Cheers,
Jeff.
