Golden yard pondering

Gavin Hince
Hi gents,
I've used 'passive staging' to represent trains heading off-scene to Golden and Denver on my On3 Clear Creek layout. As the layout progresses, I'm considering replacing this with a working yard.

Although the new yard won't be nearly the size of Golden, I have about 12' length and 18" deep to work with. I plan to fit a turntable, plus front facades of the roundhouse extension (those art-deco falsefronts are irresistable) - the actual storage tracks will extend off-scene. The rear of the scene can be anchored with a low-relief version of the freight house, which should provide some switching interest and might even house a hidden track inside, so I avoid having a passenger consist lying around the yard through the operating 'day'.

Comes the query: photos of the wimpy Golden depot show it to be a perfect structure to fit without using much space. Does anyone know if a published plan exists? I 'thought' that the Gazette had included one, but a check of available listings didn't turn that up.

Not a huge drama, since I can likely draw a 'near enough' version, but being fundamentally lazy it's good to ask first!

Cheers from down under...Gavin
