Has anybody checked out "Modeling Como,Colorado,in O Scale" in the Nov/Dec 2015 Gazette p20-24 by Richard Severance and Tom Troughton?Several color photos of Como buildings built by Matt Dillow.

Thanks, Robert, I opened my copy last night and spent some time with it. That sure looks like excellent model work to me. His layout seems to be made up in a way to showcase the models more than to actually depict Como as Como, but the model work is outstanding.

I'll be interested to see how the depot and Eating House turn out, apparently they are not yet completed, or if so, may have been built by someone else.

I was also particularly impressed with the figures. I've never had the knack for figure painting, but someone who did the work on those present in the photos sure does.

Nice buildings, seems to have taken buildings he fancied at different periods with early and late schemes.

Just some things that pop into my head

The Como Hotel was on the corner of Row and 7th.

Allen did not last long in the Saloon business, he was a gambler and soon after he opened Colorado banned gambling.

There was a Saloon on the same location, I have seen one photo, do not know its name.

The Superintendent's House was here to the 40's, do not know how it went, fire?

There are plans for the Dispatchers Office, never found what happened so interested in the Authors comment.
