Does anyone know?

Southpark
Does anyone have any info on a wreck of DL&G #261, possibility in the winter?  The wrecked engine was in Como during the DL&G era of the DSP&P.

Re: Does anyone know?

I have been trying to re-find a source where a number of references were made
to runaways/wrecks on the east side of Alpine Pass, but cannot find whatever it
was where I read it.  I do not recall specific engine numbers being named, but my
memeory is not that clear (that's why I want to find it again and re-read !).  Perhaps
someone else knows what I am thinking about, and perhaps this engine/wreck is
mentioned ???

Poor's DSP&P has a whole chapter of short stories including a few on wrecks.DSP&P Memorial has a photo chapter on wrecks.Margaret Coel's Goin Railroading,Helmers Historic Alpine Tunnel. There are mentions of wrecks in Colorado Rail Annual 12. Ron Rudnick did a roster of the original DSP&P locos in the DSP-P Yahoo Group that included wrecks and repairings-thats why I wonder if  he did one on DL&G and C&S locos.
