I'd like you to meet Mr Brisbois.

One of my first Leadville mining photo acquisitions was one of his, the "California Gulch" view which I will share soon; something in the pic caught my eye, and(after years of research) turned out to reveal an important, completely passed over section of the C&S.
I digress.
I present here what I do believe to be the most significant D.S.P.&P. R.R. image discovered in at least 25 years.

Not only has this image given us the Passenger, a couple of Tiffanys and the Coaling platform,

and a D&RG Hopper,

But also an unknown early Boxcar, smaller than the adjacent Box, with some fascia sideboards on the roofline. Looks like someone at the partially open doorway, too early for a Elliot SwStand.

That bottom discharge car is a smaller version with lesser sidewall height, and 5 additional bracing chords, than the regular early hopper.

I haven't yet found an interchanged D&RG car on the Clear Creek, and this is the first I've seen on the Highline beyond Climax and on the Blue River Branch.
Oooh, this image got me hoppin': a salute to Mr Brisbois is in order, I feel.
