C&S 60 & 70 - were they ever in a different location?

I know that C&S 60 and coach 70 were near Miner street from 1941 to 1987 (when it was moved to its present location), but does anyone know if the display train was every at any other location during this time frame?  There is a 1941 article in Tom and Denise Klinger's Clear Creek Line and Then Some that states the town had plans to put it in Cooper Park.  It's my assumption that this was an idea that never occurred.
