George Champion, who rode the last rotary through Alpine Tunnel, turned 95. There is an audio on the post with an interview between Champion and Mac Poor. If you've never listened to it, it is worth the time.
Imagine touring Como and Boreas Pass with Richard Kindig, Ed Haley, and George Champion. The RMRC did just that in '79.
It is interesting to note that the Como eating house was "recently reopened" that year as well.
