I looked through the archive of the Rocky Mountain Rail Report, the newsletter of the Rocky Mountain Railroad Club and put
a post together with some more miscellaneous South Park Line/C&Sng news from the 1975 editions including:
Historical TheftsCharlie Ryland's home was broken into and some railroad items, including a Colorado Central rail pass were taken. Also, an engine bell was stolen from an engine at the CRRM.
Early C&S footage shownFootage of Kenosha Pass and a 1903 film of the Georgetown Loop were shown at a presentation.
Does anyone know of the Otto Perry footage of Kenosha Pass mentioned in this newsletter?
DSP&P book reprint is underwayThe reprint that was formerly resisted finally gets going as the "Memorial Edition" after M.C. Poor's passing.
New South Park bookGordon Chappell, Robert Richardson, and Cornelius Hauck write the Colorado Rail Annual entitled "The South Park Line."
Enjoy!
