• The railroad graders are
again at work upon the Fairplay
extension of the South
Park. A dozen or fifteen men
arrived with the contractors
the first of the week,
and some more were added
to the force here. The gang
of men commenced work at
a point in the gulch where
they left off last fall and
worked there up to yesterday,
when the contractors
received word to take all
men off the gulch work and
begin work south of the big
cut on the south bank of the
Platte.
• The trains will begin
running into Fairplay by the
Fourth of July, so says current
rumor, but we think it
is likely
